Membership Application

Special Nominee Membership

Eligibility

Any company incorporated under the Companies Ordinance of good standing shall be eligible to apply.

Procedure

• Applicant to obtain an application form through a member with Voting Right and membership standing of not less than 15 years. (other than Ordinary Life Members, Special Nominee Members and Special Family Members)
• Applicant to fill in the form and return the same to the Office with required documents.
• Only members with Voting Right and membership standing of not less than 15 years are eligible to act as Proposer or Seconder. (other than Ordinary Life Members, Special Nominee Members and Special Family Members)
• Applicants must attend the interview/tea-reception which will be arranged by the Club Office.

Ordinary Membership

Eligibility

Any natural person of the age of 21 years or over, of good standing, shall be eligible to apply.

Procedure

• Applicant to obtain an application form through a member with Voting Right and membership standing of not less than 15 years. (other than Ordinary Life Members, Special Nominee Members and Special Family Members)
• Applicant to fill in the form and return the same to the Office with required documents.
• Only members with Voting Right and membership standing of not less than 15 years are eligible to act as Proposer or Seconder. (other than Ordinary Life Members, Special Nominee Members and Special Family Members)
• Applicants must attend the interview/tea-reception which will be arranged by the Club Office.

Special Family Membership

Eligibility

Any natural person being a child of a member who is of not less than 10 or 15 years membership standing and who is of good standing and of the age of not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years shall be eligible to apply.

Procedure

• Applicant may only obtain an application form through his/her member parent applying in person at the Club Office or, if his/her member parent is out of town, by the production of an authorization letter from his/her member parent.
• Applicant to fill in the form and return the same to the Office with required documents.
• Only members with Voting Right and membership standing of not less than 15 years are eligible to act as Proposer or Seconder. (other than Ordinary Life Members, Special Nominee Members and Special Family Members)
• Applicants must attend the interview/tea-reception which will be arranged by the Club Office.

Special Beneficiary Membership

Eligibility

A widow or widower of a deceased member (other than a Special Nominee Member) shall be eligible to apply for admission, provided that such application is made within 1 year of the death of the member.

Procedure

• Applicant to obtain an application form from the Club Office.
• Applicant to fill in the form and return the same to the Office with one photocopy of the Death Certificate of the deceased member.
• Club Office to notify successful applicants by letters.

Absent Membership

Eligibility

Any member (not being a Special Nominee Member or its nominee or a Special Family Member during the first five years of his Special Family Membership) who is temporary absent from Hong Kong can apply for this membership.

Procedure

• The form must be returned to the Club Office 7 days prior to departure.
• All absentee members are required to surrender all the membership card(s), car-park label and key(s) for locker(s) before departure, or the Club will continue charging members the monthly subscription.
• Applicants must clear their accounts before leaving Hong Kong.
• Absent membership will become effective only after the Club receives the absent membership fee.

Visiting Membership

Eligibility

Any person, who is either a father or mother or brother or sister or child of the Club member (not being a Special Nominee Member) and is not less than 21 years of age, and is temporarily visiting Hong Kong shall be eligible to apply to use the Club facilities for not more than 6 months in any calendar year.

Procedure

• Applicants to obtain an application form from the Club through the Introducing Member.
• Applicant to fill in the form and return the same to the Office with 1 photo. When submitting the form, the applicant shall present sufficient evidence to prove that he/she is a temporary visitor to Hong Kong (e.g. copy of student registrar c​​​​​​​​ard, certificate of leave from foreign employer, copy of passport and return flight t​icket​).
